  1. Solar Eclipse Event

    August 21, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

    Come to the Grand Forks Public Library from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 21st for a viewing party of the 2017 solar eclipse. Solar eclipse glasses will be available to safely view the eclipse. The Dakota Science Center will provide activity stations to help explain the science behind it. All ages are welcome. This program is offered as part of the NASA@ My Library initiative to engage public audiences nationwide in informal and lifelong learning with the excitement of NASA exploration and discovery. Thank you to the Northern Sky Astronomy Society and NASA Night Sky Network for borrowing the library 200 solar eclipse glasses for the event.

    There will be a Child ID event in the Children’s Dept. on Thursday, August 24th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The Grand Forks Police Dept. will create free identification cards for children.
