There are so many more things in our library than just physical books, we have a multitude of online resources available and free to use for our library card holders. As an innovative library we realize that some people simply would prefer to be able to access things online without having to come all the way to the library to get access to them. So starting now, you can sign up for a library card online and get access to all of our resources (tutoring, streaming music, e books, online classes, genealogy, e magazines, financial resources and more) without leaving the comfort of your home. You can even sign up for our monthly newsletter and keep up with what's new and get early access to events and programs at the library! Here's how it works:
For Grand Forks County residents: After you fill out the online form you will receive an email containing your library card number (please allow up to 24 hours to receive this email). Your card number can be used immediately to set up your online account, access digital resources, ebooks, and much more! Your physical card will be mailed to the address provided and should arrive within 7 to 10 business days. As mailing addresses do need to be verified, we ask that you contact the library via phone once you receive your card, to verify that you have received it (Instructions for this will be included with your new library card!)
For Out of County residents: There is a fee for library card holders that live outside of Grand Forks County, at this time we can only take payment for those cards in the library. You may still fill out the form for a library card, however you will have to visit the Grand Forks Public to pay for and pick up your library card.
