Grand Forks Public will host a traveling exhibition designed to teach kids and their families about money, thanks to a competitive national grant from the American Library Association (ALA) and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation. Thinking Money for Kids is a new multimedia experience for children ages 7 to 11, as well as their parents, caregivers, and educators. The interactive exhibit uses games, activities and a fun storyline to help children understand what money is, its function in society, money choices, and money values, such as fairness, responsibility, and charitableness. The exhibit will be on display at Grand Forks Public, along with a series of related special events, from May 23 to June 30, 2022.
Back by popular demand, the Pokémon scavenger hunt is back! Each week through June and July, water-type Pokémon will be hiding throughout the library. Catch 'em all and win a prize!
Experience the magic of story time at Grand Forks Public! Baby Sign Say and Play Storytime is where families will learn useful signs through fun songs, books, and activities. Baby Sign Storytime will last about 30 minutes and will be held upstairs in the meeting room. If weather is nice, it may be moved outside.
Switch it up! Stop by the library for an afternoon of gaming every Monday throughout June and July. Bring your favorite portable device (Nintendo Switch, phone games, etc.) and we'll provide beverages and snacks.
Open to the public.
